How do you create a free cycling route from your location?
BikeRouteNow creates a free cycling route after you choose a starting point, route type and distance. The planner calculates four alternatives that you can compare on the map and download as route files.

Create a cycling route in five steps
You do not need to draw every waypoint or create an account.
- Open the free cycling route planner.
- Enter your starting point and choose a round trip or an A-to-B route.
- Set your preferred distance and optionally choose Wind or Nature.
- Generate four routes and compare their distance, duration and shape on the map.
- Check your favourite and download GPX, KML, TCX or GeoJSON.
When should you choose a round trip or an A-to-B route?
Choose a round trip when you want to start and finish at the same place. Choose A to B when you have a destination; add extra distance when the direct route is shorter than the ride you want.
What do Wind and Nature do?
Wind factors the current wind direction into round trips. Nature gives extra preference to signposted cycle routes, quiet roads and cycle paths. Both options remain dependent on current weather and map data.
What should you check before leaving?
Check the route, distance, surface, ferries, temporary closures and current traffic conditions. A generated route is a suggestion, not a guarantee that every section is accessible at that moment.
